Who is Dr. Khulan van Twist?
Dr. Khulan van Eck Duymaer van Twist (formerly, Berger/Amarsaikhan) is an impact-driven sustainability leader, practitioner, and systems thinker. Rooted in Mongolia 🇲🇳, shaped in Singapore 🇸🇬, and based in Switzerland 🇨🇭.
Bringing 8 years of experience working with leaders and institutions translating values into decisions, and decisions into measurable impact. With a background in Computer Engineering and an Executive Doctorate in Business Administration (Strategic Management), I bring both analytical rigor and on-the-ground practice to responsible leadership and systems change. In 2026, through applied research as an Impact Analyst - Responsible Leadership, at CAUX Initiatives of Change, bridging academia and practice she has earned her degree “Executive Doctor in Business Administration” (DBA) from the Swiss School of Business Management in Geneva. With a academic background in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Singapore) and Business Administration (Switzerland). She combines analytical expertise with strategic vision to drive meaningful change.
Furthermore, she holds strategic roles including Board Member at Educator’s Lab and Eiger Institute, and Advisory Member at Peregrine Global Services.

In 2025, she stepped into the role of Director of Development at Climate Bridges (formerly, SHE Changes Climate), where she focused on strengthening the organization’s foundation to maximize impact across three core pillars: Finance, Food, and Female Leadership in Switzerland but also at COP29 & COP30.
In addition, as a Consultant for The Climate Reality Project, she advised on and supported the implementation of the Leadership Corps Training in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, engaging local stakeholders and reaching over 450 participants.

In 2024, she founded an independent non-profit dedicated to environmental stewardship and social inclusion, Our Impact Mongolia, where she leads as President. By honoring cultural roots, the organization designs and implements projects that promote sustainability and protect Mongolia’s future.
At MyBluePlanet, she led a new initiative on collaboration as a catalyst for climate actions. Piloted a human-centric collaboration model centered on intentional relationship-building. At its core is a prototype online and offline platform designed for B2B matchmaking, helping organizations find aligned partners (clear needs vs offerings), share resources, and co-create impact. Our research uncovered a critical insight: effective collaboration emerges within a “sweet spot”, a balance where the benefits clearly outweigh the operational challenges. Unstructured or excessive collaboration can dilute impact, whereas intentional and value-aligned partnerships accelerate it. With over 30 organizations already engaged, we’ve validated the need for structured collaboration.
Alongside, she also served as a Board Member for Swiss Youth For Climate and Educators Lab.

From 2021 to 2024, as Regional Director Romandie at MyBluePlanet, she spearheaded the creation and expansion of HUB Romandie - scaling 4 B2B projects and 3 flagship community events through strategic fundraising and resource development. By fostering collaborative leadership with internal and external stakeholders, I developed strong partnerships and empowered a growing team of 10+ members and 40+ volunteers to serve our ecosystem.
Additionally, from 2022 to 2024, she also served as Swiss National Coordinator for The Climate Reality Project Europe.
Lastly, from 2024 to 2025, she served Swiss Youth for Climate as Board Member - Partnership Lead.

From 2018 to 2021, she focused on effective communications through Digital Marketing, working with companies from diverse backgrounds across Hong Kong, Singapore, and Switzerland (Food & Beverage, Watchmaking, and Creative Industries) whilst studying in Business School Lausanne.
